(특별대담) 노엄 촘스키 Noam Chomsky	MIT 공대 명예교수, 애리조나대학 교수 미국 언어학자이자 철학자, 인지과학자. 사회비평가이자 정치운동가이다. 변형생성문법 이론의 창시자로서 20세기 언어학에 가장 중요한 공헌을 한 학자로 꼽힌다. 1955년부터 MIT에서 강의를 시작해 현재는 MIT 언어학과 명예교수이자 애리조나 대학교의 교수로 재직하고 있다. 언어학뿐 아니라 철학, 사상사, 당대의 이슈, 국제문제와 미국의 외교정책 등 다양한 분야에 관해 글을 쓰고 강의해왔다. 국내 번역된 최근 저서로는 『세계는 들끓는다』, 『문명은 지금의 자본주의를 견뎌 낼 수 있을까』, 『촘스키, 인간이란 어떤 존재인가』 등이 있다.
(특별대담) 이 동 연	한국예술종합학교 한국예술학과 교수 중앙대학교 영문학과에서 〈메타비평론 연구〉로 박사 학위를 받았고, 현재 한국예술종합학교 기획처장 및 전통예술원 한국예술학과 교수로 재직하고 있다. 서울문화재단 이사, 문화사회연구소 소장, 문화연대 문화정책센터 소장, 계간 <문화/과학> 편집인을 역임했다. 현재는 청와대 정책기획위원회 포용사회분과 위원, 광화문조성위원회 문화예술위원장, 글로벌 음악도시서울 플랜 추진위원장, 플랫폼창동61 총괄 예술감독으로 활동하고 있다. 한국의 대표적인 문화 연구자 중 한 사람으로, 한국 문화 연구 삼부작인 『문화부족의 사회』, 『문화자본의 시대』, 『대안문화의 형성』을 비롯해 『아시아 문화연구를 상상하기』, 『문화연구의 종말과 생성』, 『예술@사회』, 『예술과 삶』 등이 있다.

(Keynote) Special Talk Noam Chomsky	Institute Professor Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Laureate Professor at the University of Arizona He is a Jewish American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, social critic, and political activist. He is the founder of Syntactic Structures and considered as one of the greatest linguists of the 20th century in recognition of his contribution. He began teaching at MIT, and currently serves as Institute Professor Emeritus at the Institute as well as professor at the University of Arizona. He has wrote and given lectures on various fields including philosophy, history of thought, current affairs, global problems, and foreign policy of the US. Some of his latest books are translated and released in Korea including Global Discontents: Conversation on the Rising Threats to Democracy, Masters of Mankind, The Sound Pattern of English.
(Keynote) Special Talk Lee Dong-yeon	Professor, School of Korean Traditional Arts at Korea National University of Arts Received his doctorate in English literature from Chung-Ang University with , and he currently teaches at the School of Korean Traditional Arts at Korea National University of Arts. He is the Artistic Director of Platform Chang Dong 61 and Director of Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, and worked as the Director of the Center for Cultural Society and Director of Cultural Policy Center at Cultural Action. He is also the editorial staff of quarterly magazine 『Culture/Science』. He is considered as one of representative cultural researchers in Korea and his major publications include A society of cultural tribes, The era of cultural capitalism, Formation of alternative culture, Imagination on Asian cultural studies, Demise and creation of cultural studies, Arts@society, Arts and living.

Currently, she serves as the Professor of Graduate School of Culture at Chonnam National University and a member of Presidential Committee for Hub City of Asian Culture, member of the Cultural City Review Board, and expert member of Presidential Committee on Autonomy and Decentralization. (Session 1) Presentation 1 Yang Hye-won	Director, Arts Policy Research Division at Korea Culture & Tourism Institute After graduating from Sogang University majoring in Sociology, she received her master's and doctor's degrees in public administration from Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University. She is the Director of Arts Policy Research Division at Korea Culture & Tourism Institute, and has been serving as a member of Committee on Combined Evaluation of Local Governments (2014~) and Policy Planning Committee to Build a Cultural Civic City of Seoul Metropolitan Government (2018~). Her main areas of study include arts policy, culture administration, arts and culture education, welfare for artists, and local culture. (Session 1) Presentation 2 Kim Sang-min	Director of Center for Cultural Society He teaches cultural theories, technological aesthetics, new media, visual culture, and popular culture at Seoul National University, Korea National University of Arts, and Yonsei University. He is an editorial board member of quarterly magazine Culture/Science and a member of operating committee of Korean Association of Cultural Studies. After graduating from KAIST in Industrial Design, he received his master's degree in Aesthetics from Seoul National University, and doctor's degree in Cultural Studies from George Mason University. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Sociology from Seoul National University, and earned his doctorate in Sociology from Columbia University. Currently, he teaches Communication Studies at Yonsei University Graduate School of Communication & Arts. He also serves as a Professor of the Dept. of Culture and Communication at Kyung Hee Cyber University and an editorial staff of humanities and arts magazine 《F》. (Session 1) Discussion 2 Lee Lee-nam	Media artist Graduated from the College of Arts and Design in Chosun University majoring in Sculpture, and received his master's degree in Fine Arts and doctor's degree in Art History from the same university. He also completed the doctoral program of Visual Arts from Yonsei University Graduate School of Communication & Arts. He held about 60 solo exhibitions in Belgium, New York, Paris, London, etc. and participated in about 800 groups exhibitions in Korea and overseas including Starr Cinema at Tate Modern, 2018 Inter-Korean Summit Peace House, ZKM in Germany, Venice Biennale, and Gwangju Biennale. (Session 1) Discussion 3 Jeon Go-feel	A member of Presidential Committee for Hub City of Asian Culture He is a representative culture planner in Gwangju and runs a local history bookstore ‘Leemok-gushimseo’ in Damyang County. He received his master's degree in Tourism Management from the Graduate School of Tourism & Hospitality at Kyonggi University and doctor's degree in Cultural Heritage Studies from Chonnam National University Graduate School. He served as the member of Presidential Committee for Hub City of Asian Culture, Project Manager in charge of southern province to select the Top 10 Theme Tour Korea, Director of Jeolla Geographic Research Institute as well as Standing Director of Gwangju Buk-gu Culture House, and General Manager of Daein Art Market Project (in 2010, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018). (Session 2)Presentation 1 Kim Jae-hyung	Professor, Dept. of Culture & Liberal Arts at Korea National Open University After graduating from Chonnam National University in Sociology/Chinese Language and Culture, he received his master's and doctor's degrees from Seoul National University in Sociology. He also completed the doctoral degree program from University of California, San Francisco. Previously, he served as Senior Researcher at Seoul National University Asia Center, Editorial Staff at the Korean Association for the Social History of Medicine and Health, member of academic affairs at Korean Social History Association, advisor of Dept. of Psychiatry at Seoul National University College of Medicine. He is interested in medical sociology, historical sociology, legal sociology, social movement and human rights in East Asia. (Session 2)Presentation 2 Han Soon-mi	Associate Professor, Humanities Research Institute at Chosun University She is majoring in Disaster Humanities in East Asia, Korean Modern and Contemporary Literature, Hansen’s disease historical and cultural records, etc. The main research themes are narrative, trauma, healing of historical memory, minority and otherness, community, etc. Her publications include researches on “The Tree—Body—Corpse: Triangle movement thinking historical violence around May 18”, “Pink Voices―Questions Raised by Hybridity in Hansen’s Disease Patients’ Records”, “Disaster Humanities as a multifocal lens viewing the world”, “Discrimination and exclusion of non[非]/people: The autobiographical records written by Korean Hansen's Disease Patients residing in Japan, and Journey essays to the leprosarium by Korean and Japanese people involved Hansen’s disease”, “Post-Disaster Humanities Practice: To the Wind of Ferry Sewol”, etc.
(Session 2)Presentation 3 Park Joo-won	Curator, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (Focused on projects related to regional studies Asia and mainly in charge of international relations at MMCA) Graduated from Ewha Womans University in History and East Asian Studies also received her master's degree in Art History from the University of Edinburgh, UK. Currently, she works for National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea as a curator and serves as an associate curator of the 13th Gwangju Biennale under the title of . She has been contributing articles to 「Artfourm International, Critic’s pick」 since 2019 and took her role as a local editor 「My Art Guide – Seoul, Gwangju, Busan 2018」. She curated a series of exhibitions including 2020 Asia Project , Seoul(2020), , Seoul(2019), , Venice(2019), 2018 Asia Project , Seoul(2018).
(Session 2) resentation 4 Kang Jea-uk	Photographer, Director of team( project: A movement to deploy artists to disaster areas to help the children restore their memories and raise dreams through artistic activities) He graduated from the College of Fine Arts at Seoul National University majoring in Sculpture and received his master's degree from the Graduate School of the same university. He held many solo exhibitions including 'East to West: Asian Road', 'The Wall', 'Silent Spring', and participated in various planned exhibitions and group exhibitions and such as 'Warm Breeze (薰風)' and 'Culture exchange exhibition for Korean artists in Latin America'. He received the Excellence Award in fine art photography category at the 5th Sajin Bipyong Awards and has been contributing articles and documentary photos on various culture, environment, and history of countries of the world to monthly magazine 「Asiana Culture」, 「GEO」, 「DOVE」. He wrote 『The planet』, 『The time on the road to share the youth』, 『Mongolia: Letters from the grassland』.

(Opening ceremony) Host Hwang Byung-ha	Professor, Dept. of Arabic Language of the College of Global Humanities at Chosun University After graduating from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Arabic language, he received his master's degree from the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation in Arabic language and doctor's degree (Islam culture and religion) from the Graduate School of the same university. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of Gwangju Cultural Foundation, and Vice Chair and Director of Asia Culture City Forum. He was a visiting professor at King Saud University (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia), American University in Cairo (Egypt), and Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). His major publications and research papers include Asia and multicultural society, Islam history, Acculturation through the silk road in Asia, “Study on the background of emergence of terms related to sectarianism in Islam history”.
(Session 1) Host Kim Ha-rim	Professor, Dept. of Chinese Language, Literature and Culture of College of Global Humanities at Chosun University Graduated from Korea University in Chinese Language and Literature, he received his master's degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (summa cum laude) and doctor's degree in Literature from Korea University. After serving as an exchange professor at Nankai University, he began teaching at Chosun University since 1989. He was the co-author of Understanding modern Chinese literature, How to study Chinese literature, Literal artworks and ideologies of Lu Xun and released various research articles on Lu Xun and Chinese literature.
(Session 2) Host Kim Gi-gon	General Manager, Community and Culture Research Dept. at Gwangju Jeonnam Research Institute Graduated from Chonnam National University majoring in Sociology, and he received his master's and doctor's degrees in Sociology from the Graduate School of the same university. He currently serves as the General Manager of Community and Culture Research Department at Gwangju Jeonnam Research Institute. He is also the planning member of Asia Culture City Forum and researcher of Cultural Policy Research Institute under the National Assembly of Foundations for Arts & Culture. His major publications and research include Local culture and cultural politics, “Construction and Institutionalization of Cultural Rights in Korean Society”, “Acceptance and Settlement of inclusive city in Gwangju”, and “Activation plan local youth communities”.
(Session 3) Host Kang Shin-kyum	Professor of the Graduate School of Culture at Chonnam National University, Director of BK21 Plus Program Received his master's degree from Seoul National University Graduate School of Environmental Studies in Landscape Architecture and doctor's degree from the Graduate School of Hanyang University in Tourism. In 2020, he served as a member of Presidential Committee for Hub City of Asian Culture and he was a former Chairman of International Association of Global Culture. His main areas of study include tourism (cultural tourism marketing, ecotourism, agritourism) and community design. His major publications and research papers include Theory and practice of green tourism, Status of sustainable tourism and conditions for success, Agritourism, “Recognition of service quality and satisfaction of culture and art performance audiences, and relations with their behavioral intention”.
